Editing Like a Professional

Author's Notes

As writers, we can get very protective of the words we put on paper. It is sometimes very difficult to force ourselves to self edit, yet it is necessary.

Editing is where good writing becomes great writing.

Focus on:

• clarity
• removing weak language
• tightening sentences

You can cry later.
